Institutional investors – powerhouses like pensions, endowments, foundations, family offices, insurance companies, sovereign wealth funds – are fundamentally the base of capitalism in that they control roughly $165 trillion of global risk capital. As such, we will never get to the scale required to mitigate, adapt, transition, and decarbonize if we do not prepare these investors for the complexity that goes into climate investment.

For the past seven years, The Climate Salon has quietly convened leading institutional investors in private, trusted settings, facilitating billions in climate investments and engaging participants representing trillions in assets under management. These gatherings have become a cornerstone for meaningful discourse, new collaborations, and bold climate commitments.

This year’s Climate + AI Salon builds on this legacy, bringing together leaders at the intersection of artificial intelligence and institutional investment in climate. Day one will highlight emerging breakthroughs in technologies that drive AI growth, from the future of energy infrastructure—including nuclear, geothermal, and hydrogen—to grid optimization. We’ll explore the incorporation of ultra-low carbon concrete and on-site carbon sequestration, enabling new pathways for hyperscalers to meet their decarbonization goals.

Day two shifts to institutional strategies, examining how capital can be deployed at scale. Discussions include tech, insurance, and institutional titans. We’ll also explore AI in national security at the intersection of AI and climate. We’ll close with a lively discussion with a veteran in this rapidly evolving industry.
